Greetings & a warm Hello,

Are you feeling a bit scattered, disorganized, or overwhelmed ... or are you feeling centered and "grounded?" Are you feeling like you are not quite expressing your full potential ... or are you manifesting and expressing your true heart's desires? 

Grounding your energy is an important aspect to Aligning Within, feeling joy and peace, fully expressing your highest potential. 

What Does it Mean to Be Grounded?

To be "grounded" means that our energy is grounded and we're staying connected with the earth, energetically speaking. Grounding is a way of managing our energy, both in our physical body and our subtle energetic bodies. It is especially important for empaths and/or highly sensitive persons (HSPs), who often feel overstimulated and overwhelmed in the world. When we are grounded we have a deep connection with our physical body and the physical realm of earth, while concurrently having a deep awareness of our spiritual nature. Grounding is our inner Yin foundation to our outer Yang expression. When we are grounded we feel calmer, clearer, centered, and rooted. It's much more comfortable - physically, mentally and emotionally! 

Symptoms of being ungrounded can look and feel like: 

  • Feeling scattered, overwhelmed, flighty, dizzy, floaty

  • Difficulty focusing and concentrating; forgetfulness

  • Indecision, lack of clarity

  • Getting caught in dramas and chaos more easily

  • Weak boundaries in relationships and around your time and energy

Symptoms of being Grounded can look and feel like:

  • Mentally calm, clear and focused

  • Emotionally calm and centered

  • Spiritual equanimity, compassion and love

  • Healthy boundaries; able to respond to life in a calm way

  • Full expression of your highest purpose

Some Simple Ways to Help Your Ground:

  • Get outside in nature. Walk, run, sit or just be in nature

  • Consistent daily routines, rhythms, and habits of any kind can be grounding. Even flossing your teeth!

  • Eating root vegetables and garlic

  • Get on the ground - by yourself, or play with your animals or kids!

  • Holding or wearing stones and grounding crystals such as hematite, black and brown tourmaline, onyx, shungite or smoky quartz

  • Flower & Gem Essences. Alaskan Essences has some wonderfully grounding gem elixirs.

  • EnJOYing your life and your existence on earth. This may include healing the past, cleaning up cords and connections or clearing limiting beliefs that reside at our subconscious level of awareness. Hypnotherapy can help.

  • Know Thyself. Really ground in who you are at your deepest core level, and let everything else go. Human Design can be a useful tool in this process.

  • Choose it. Feel your connection to earth and let the earth ground you. Wherever you are, whatever you may be doing - choose to ground - and be in your body.
