Online Support: Embrace Technology to Heal

Dear Friends:

It feels strange to conduct "business as usual" when upheaval and uncertainty abound. Our daily lives and rhythms are being interrupted as we float on a sea of fear all around us. Truly, many people are needing to put more energy into staying grounded, centered and calm amidst a stormy sea. The fear of this pandemic is perhaps more of a pandemic than the actual virus is.

But stay in your boat!
We are all in the same boat, together.

I can help. Hypnotherapy has innumerable benefits. By definition it is profoundly relaxing and calming. Fears are assuaged. It activates our body's parasympathetic nervous system response, which is the opposite of a "fight or flight" stress response. When your body's relaxation response is activated, all systems are able to operate optimally and homeostasis can be achieved. Thus healing is accelerated, your immunity is revved up, digestion improves, pain decreases, etc - basically, it's like hitting the 'reset' button on your body! I teach people meditative self-hypnosis methods that enable them to talk to their own body, empowering them to reduce symptoms and feel better - and adjust to their ever changing circumstances and goals.

You have power!

My role is simply to light the way, and empower you to use your innate abilities so you can stay in your calm boat.

ONLINE SUPPORT
In a rather timely fashion (yet unrelated to current events), as of 3/1/20 I've suspended my in-person sessions and am conducting online video sessions exclusively. Video sessions are not new to my practice - I've been conducting them regularly since 2012. Long before "social distancing" arose! Now we are seeing a sudden surge of "tele-medicine" and "telehealth" appointments, virtual meetings and tele-commuting.

Online sessions are an easy way to connect and continue care. I use a HIPAA compliant video system, which means that all communications are encrypted and secure - your health information is protected and private.

Even amongst a stormy sea with dark clouds and an unknown future over the horizon, there is silver lining as people and communities come together in the spirit of support.

We are all in the same boat, together.

So what else can we do to stay in our boat and ride the waves?

  • Get outside for nice walks in nature as often as you can

  • Connect with your loved ones - we are all in the same boat

  • Take any necessary actions to prepare, and do it with gratitude for the abundance that you already have

  • Laugh often

  • Count your blessings

  • Avoid drama - subscribe to your local health authority for email updates rather than watch the news (which is laden with sensationalism and drama - remember, everything in our environment is potentially programming our subconscious, and thus, our emotions and body)
